Hi everyone! Things have been a little busy in the Nelson household. Besides me turning into a little lady, we have had a new addition to the family! My baby brother Gabriel. He came in September and I've been mommy's little helper ever since.

My parents are really impressed with how quickly I have grown. They are always amazed at what comes out of my mouth. They say I talk like an old lady. Not only do I speak in English - I've also got a few words in Polish up my sleeve.

You might be wondering what I've been upto at 2. You can always find me reading, drawing or dancing. Oh and Gabby and I are the best of friends. We are always into some kind of trouble =)

12 Month Update

We've been quite busy the past few weeks with all the celebrations and milestones. Here are a few pictures to show you how my birthday went.

Hi Everybody - Tomorrow is my birthday but my parents wanted to do something special to celebrate the occasion a little early. Mommy and Daddy thought it would be fun to record my first taste of something sweet so they bought a stunt birthday cake and let me have at it! Getting Ready for Halloween

Hi Everyone -
Things are getting pretty exciting here at the Nelson household. I'm getting ready for my first halloween and I can't wait to get dressed in my costume.

This past weekend, mommy and daddy let me play with the pumpkins we picked a few weeks ago. Not sure what I think of all the goo and mess inside them - but I had fun sticking my hands inside.

Also - I've reached another milestone - I have decided to try walking. I only take about 4 or 5 steps each time I try and I usually dive towards something to catch on. Crawling or cruising is still my preferred method though since I am really fast that way. I also like walking when I'm holding onto mommy or daddy's hand. Its fun. If my parents can catch the event on video - I'll be sure to post it.

Ok - time for me to go and play. Stay tuned for pictures of me in my halloween costume. Can you guess what I'm going to be?

When I was 10 Months Old...

Well - Remember when I said Mommy was having computer problems? Well - Mommy says that her computer kicked the bucket and Daddy had to buy some new parts to fix it. So that is why it has been a very long time since we updated everyone.

Anyway - Since its been a while - there is a lot to catch up on. I now have 6 teeth with another just breaking through. That is 7 teeth! I'm also sick at the moment so I'm pretty grumpy. I don't like ear infections and this cough sounds horrible.

Now - for the show. In this post will be everything I did when I was 10 months old. Here is my 10 month old Birthday shot on the glider.

I really like to read and look at pictures now.

Now here I am cruising around my room - I like to explore every nook and cranny.

Between mommy having computer problems and the photobucket not wanting to upload my pictures - its been quite a challenge to get things together and post. So thank you all for your patience. With that lets start with the updates =)

So I haven't been to the beach this year but we did go down to visit our friends at the shore. Here are a few pictures of me enjoying the sun.

Ok - So I've been keeping a secret. I've always known how to crawl but just wanted to keep mom and dad guessing. Well - On Tuesday I decided to show everyone that I can do it. So call me officially mobile! Here's some video to prove it. The first part is this past weekend where I'm trying to stand by myself. After that its all about me crawling. Enjoy!

Hi Everyone -
Sorry about the LONG delay in posting - but we've been a little busy with the summer and work. I've been spending my days with Grandma and Grandpa and keeping them busy. Just a few updates since the last time we posted:

1. My 4th tooth as come in - Just call me fangs =)
2. I like to say Kit Kat for Dusty and Gab for Gabby. I love my animals.
3. Still not crawling - but I am pulling myself up and cruising on furniture.
4. Latest trick is letting go and seeing how long I can balance myself!

Mom and dad think I will start walking in no time. They have already set up a little baby jail so I can't get into to many things in the morning and the dog can't topple me over.

Ok - So on to the latest pictures.

Well - its been a packed few weeks and I've been keeping the parents busy. So I'll try to recap everything that has transpired.

To start - I've acquire tooth #3! You can start calling me fang =) Also - I've decided that I like to keep momma guessing where she will find me in the morning.

I've also turned 7 months old on June 11. So here are my glider pictures to commemorate the day.

This month was also Father's Day. So here are a few pics at a BBQ at Grandpa's!

I also had fun swinging with Mommy.

And taking a walk with Daddy.

Oh and here's a good picture of my teeth!

Now - the following week my other Grandpa came to visit. Here I am waiting for him to show up.

Look out world - Sophia is on the prowl! I'm getting into anything and everything I can get my hands on.

All of these pictures are long over due - but as you'll see - I've been a very busy girl!

First - I've been spending a lot of time with my best friend Gabby. We love each other VERY much.

I've also been exploring a lot lately. I now like to try things that mommy and daddy use.

Not sure what this is but I see mommy and daddy use it like this all the time.

Mommy gave me something called a sippy cup but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with it yet. I like to chew on it for now. I might let mommy take a picture of me trying to use it for the next post.

I also like playing and chewing on things in my exersaucer.

But for the most part it helps me strengthen my legs so that I can try to walk. This is how I tire Grandma out every day.

We also celebrated Grandma's birthday recently. So I got to go out to my first restaurant! It was fun!

I even had my own chair with toys!

But the BIGGEST event this past week was playing in my new kiddie pool! Ok - So day 1 with the pool was spent mostly outside of the pool. I wasn't too sure how I felt about all that water!

I thought about going in...

Gabby thought it was a BIG water dish!

But we had fun sitting around and thinking about going in =)

Day 2 at the pool - Had a lot more fun and played splish splash in the pool. Mommy was busy making sure I didn't fall over and daddy was having fun videotaping me. Once daddy figures out how to put the show online I will post it here too!

Ok - I will post more soon. Tomorrow I'm turning 7 months old and I'm sure mommy will take lots of pictures of me holding up a sign with me sitting in the rocking chair again.

Hi Everyone - I can finally share with you all the latest photoshoot I had with Daddy. It was taken on Memorial Day in our backyard. Gabby unfortunately had to stay inside because mommy and daddy said she would make a mess. Maybe next time she can come and play.

MA MA MA MA MA

Hi Everyone - Since the last time we've posted I've turned 6 months old and I'm starting to babble a lot more now. My favorite phrase is MA MA MA MA MA, followed by BA BA BA BA along with a few other sounds that come out. Still trying to figure out how to get out DA DA DA DA but I'm not quite there yet.

Anyway - On with the show. Here are a few pictures of me on Mother's Day in my pretty dress. I also turned 6 months old on Mother's Day too!

Hi Everyone -
Sorry for the delay in posting the latest happenings. Things have been a little rough for mom and dad lately. Between me getting my first tooth last Tuesday, with the second shortly to follow last Thursday, I haven't been letting mom and dad sleep too much this past week. Oh - and lets not forget my tummy troubles too!

Anyway - As I promised here is a picture of me riding a pony! Oops I mean Tank!

And here is me giving mom and dad a clue that my first tooth is coming in a few days

I've also been learning a few new tricks since the last time we posted. I can now roll over from my tummy to my back. However, since I hate being on my tummy I chose not to roll over onto my tummy. Instead I just like to roll from side to side, grabbing and sucking my feet.

I've also been really interested in hats - I must get it from my mommy. Anyway - Here I am stealing my daddy's hat =)

Hi Everybody -
Another week has flown by and I thought I would share some of the latest excitement. Daddy was travelling for work this week so I just hung around with the cat.

I miss daddy when he's a away for so long.

Well - On Friday I went with Mommy and my Aunt Jessica to play with Gabby's Friends.

This is Gabby's boyfriend! His name is Tank, the english mastiff!

He's REALLY BIG but REALLY sweet too. When's Tanks mommy sends the picture of me riding him I'll put it up to show everyone =)

It was fun to see Gabby and all of the other doggies - Just when I thought Gabby was a big doggie ... turns out she's not so big!

Lots of Fun New Things at 5 Months Old!

Ok Everybody - With this post we are officially caught up!!! Lots of fun new things to experience and share with you all!

Now here I am... turning 5 months old... can you believe how fast I'm growing!

And yet... Look how cute I am!

But man... Its a lot of work being cute!

Now to share some new experiences. Last week I started to try something other than formula. Oatmeal! Not so bad... Daddy will have to post some pictures of my first meal! However, this week mommy thought it would be nice to try something new. SWEET POTATOES!

I'm not sure about this....

Yea... I'm positively, absolutely, undoubtly certain.... Sweet Potatoes are not sweet and I don't like them!

Now - For some happier times.

Mommy thought it would be a good idea to show some of my latest favorite things to do. Here is one of me playing with my feet. I also like to suck on them but Mommy isn't quick enough to catch it on film yet!

I also like to visit grandma and grandpa. I see them every day and today I went over to show off my new hat.

Sophia at 4 months

Hi Everybody - My mom was crafty and figured out how to get my pictures off her camera. So time to catch everyone up on what I've been up to.

Here I am on my 4 month birthday. Mom insists I hold onto these signs - but I would rather crumple them up!

I really like to read my books - although lately I've either wanted to eat them or kick them.... guess which one I'm in the mood to do now!

I know everyone is chomping at the bit for the latest in Sophia updates. We promise that they will be more frequent and current on the weeks happenings.
Right now Months 4 and on are stuck on the camera and waiting to be posted.
In the meantime, today Sophia turns 5 months old. She has just had a growth spurt and is now 16lbs and just over 25 inches long. And if you think her cheeks were delicious before... just wait and see her now!
At this point she loves trying to sit up and play with her feet. Although, she topples over quite easily. She's also a champ at tummy time and depending on how her arms are she can roll over on her back.
Gabby is starting to realize that Sophia is a person and has on numerous occassions tried to get Sophia to play catch. Kel recently found Gabby placing the ball into Sophia's lap in the swing. Soon girls soon!
Well - I think this was a good start for the Nelson Blog. Stay tuned for pictures of Sophia and her first spoon fed meal and the latest on her favorite things!

So here we are November 10, 2007. Going about our weekend chores and wondering how long the little one will wait to make her appearance. Sure enough.... I start feeling a little weird around 3pm and by 9pm my contractions are kicking into gear.

Since they weren't consistent yet we wait it out.

November 11 - 3am - Um.... Kel.... *poke poke* Its time!!! Off to the hospital we go.

So here we are in doggie heaven.... learning responsibility and doggie proofing the house.

Just when we think we've got things under control ... we find out we'll need to do a lot more than doggie proofing in the near future!

In the Very Beginning

Ok Everyone - Going to try to catch everyone up on the story of our life in a few posts.

Remember back, way back to June 26, 2004. Kelley and I started our life in wedded bliss!

Got tired of Condo life and bought a house in 2006. Kelley, Dusty the cat and I moved into a nice house that has a yard and nobody stamping on our heads. Also liked that there were no cops showing up to break up the domestic dispute cases from our neighbors!

I'd post a pick of the house and the cat... but alas those files have mysteriously vanished. That and the cat is usually hiding unless she is starving!

Continuing on.......December 06/ January 07... We decide its time to get a dog and expand the family. Meet Gabby the spunky Airedale, who really likes cardboard and will figure out how to do anything she sees you doing.
